Sixth U.S. Army and Presidio of San Francisco served well durning World War II and helped thousands of people especially in the Pacific Rim area and Europe. In 1995 Sixth U.S. Army and Presidio of San Francisco was deactivated. Many still have fond memories of the Presidio of San Francisco but more of Sixth U.S. Army and the Presidio of San Franciso. More those that served at the Presidio and worked on the Main Post. Also the Letterman Army Medical Center.
Sixth U.S. Army and Presidio of San Francisco was deactivated in 1995.
At one time it helped train soldiers from the 12 Western States.
Sixth U.S. Army and Presdio of San Francisco played an important role during World War II and saved thousand of lives. Many soldiers lost their lives.
Thousands in the Pacific Rim remember the good deeds of Sixth U.S. Army and Presidio of San Francisco.
