Nov 2 Chico anti war march brings out about 80 citizens and about 40 police officers

A Peaceful Non-violent and legal anti-war march in Chico brought a huge responese by Chico PD. A diverse group of about 80 activists marched thru downtown Chico (on the sidewalks). The well organized and peaceful group was video taped by police. No less then 5 police vehicles followed the group as they did a 4 mile march to Congressman Wally Hergers Office. His office closed early this day because they knew we were going to be here. Several speakers spoke on the lawn in front of Congressman Hergers office under the close watch of approximatly 40 police officers. Many in riot gear. A armored swat vehicle was also there. The reponse by passing motorists along the route was overwhelmingly positive
