A most ill advised resolution that both negates the brave Iraqi's attempting to set up representative government and the U.S man and women engaged in supporting those same Iraqis. Some things take years to accomplish. After neville Chamberlains 'brilliant' endorsement of Adolph Hitler in the 1930s, many years passed and many lives were sacrificed in order to give the world a free Europe. Some oppose anything President Bush supports, but this effort supercedes individuals and politics. I strongly urge the City Council to reject this pointless resolution.
This ill advised resolution leaves the impression that only American or Europeans should have the right of self government. I am ashamed that I come from a city that lacks the basic concept of the right to vote, just as they did, to condemn this fight for freedom. Fortunately they are not anything other than city council members.
Do you really believe this is about freedom?
