10/5: UC Sweatfree Campaign Launch

The rally is scheduled for October 5th at noon. It will start
on Upper Sproul Plaza followed by a march to California Hall to present the
USAS demands to Chancellor Birgeneau.

UC BERKELEY STUDENTS DEMANDS THAT UNIVERSITY UNIFORMS BE MADE IN SWEET FREE
SHOPS.
Hi All,
University Students Against Sweatshops (USAS) in collaboration with Global
Exchange are planning a rally at UC Berkeley to launch the UC Sweatfree
campaign. The rally is scheduled for October 5th at noon. It will start
on Upper Sproul Plaza followed by a march to California Hall to present the
USAS demands to Chancellor Birgeneau. Present at the rally will be active
students along with AFSCME workers. There will be speeches from student
organization leaders, university officials among others. Please do join the
UC Sweatfree campaign for this worthy cause.
