STRIPPING for the trees

by Frechyo
in SF.
TreeSpirit did a photo shoot from 5 to 7 PM on Sunday,
28 August 2005, at Garfield Square in the Mission district of
San Francisco.

Photographer Jack Gescheidt invited people to
pose nude by and on a beautiful
Sequoia tree in the park.
There were about 15 participants.

During the first hour and a half, the photographer
prepared by placing the camera and having the
participants pose by the trunk or climb up onto the
branches. One guy climbed to the very top using
ropes.

I pressed against the trunk, facing the tree,
which makes me a certified tree hugger.

At 6:45 PM, when the lighting was just right,
the participants undressed,
and those not already up on the branches took our
places at the tree trunk. The shooting took only a
couple of minutes. We then got dressed and left.

Participants signed a release
and will get a copy of the photo.

Did I feeel the tree spirit?
I don't know, but it was fun.
