Kevin Benderman gets 15 months in prison; growing number of soldiers refusing to fight
Army sergeant and Iraq war veteran Kevin Benderman was sentenced to 15 months in prison on Thursday for refusing to return to Iraq. This was the harshest punhishment for any Iraq war soldier refusing to fight, and many say it reflects the Army's increasing unease with it's failed recuiting goals, increased public sentiment against the war, and the over 5000 soldiers who have already deserted.
