Peace groups target CA National Guard,
announce protest Wednesday in response
to Mother's Day spying incident at Capitol

The Sacramento County Green Party is reporting on peace groups expected to protest the CA National Guard's Mother's Day spying incident Wed. July 6. The Green Party, Veterans for Peace, and Code Pink are among the progressive groups expected to protest. Those wishing to support the peace groups should meet at the entrance of the National Guard Headquarters, 9800 Goethe Road (Map), at 10:00 AM. The Green Party has made repeated calls to Legislature to start an immediate investigation into the actions of the Guard, as the 1878 Posse Comitatus Act "prevents the U.S. military from participating in domestic law enforcement."
