Greek Anarchists Occupy Italian Consulate and Chamber of Commerce

June 24, 2005

On June 24, anarchists occupied the Italian Consulate and Chamber of Commerce in Thessaloniki, Greece, in solidarity with anarchist prisoners in Italy, as a "moment of resistance in the attack on power".

Calling themselves "independent anarchists", the group made reference to the current wave of repression against Italian anarchists begun in May, as well as previous Italian state frame-ups against anarchists: the "Cervantes Operation" and "Marini Trial".
