Samuel Iniguez is currently collecting and organizing Phil's work to publish a collection of his poetry. This reading will be a combination book fundraiser and memorial reading for Phil.

His poetry has a passion and vitality that has affected many people and a published collection of his work will again remind us of his work in the community and his generosity he showed to everyone.

I’ve Been Blessed

I’ve been blessed to have been here,
to be touched by you and others,
con cariño,
alma y corazon, familia,
the fighters of injustice
moving along the lines de las luchas,
sacrificing more than I’ve ever done,
facing the dictator’s madness.
I’ve been blessed by your palabras,
danzas y cantos
de mis hermanos y hermanas,
blessed to live on this mother earth,
feel her sweet love,
caressed by el sol y la luna,
oye carnal, carnala,
we are blessed to dance as one,
live in los recuerdos
of being.
