YUPPIE LIVE/WORK LOFTS INVADE CITY HALL!!!!
Hey it's National Environment day!!! June 5th. and folks need YOUR HELP to make this the spectacle it deserves
to be!!
to be!!
Heres what some other freedom fighter had to say.....................
This is really fun. The house is like Dr. Seuss, and it's all junk. It's
funny, after it's all comming together it's kinda better. We had a
really good day today, (Monday) but didn't finish a lot of little
things. We need help glueing leather to the floors, putting sheet goods
(not sheetrock) up on the wall. There is one wall that is done in fire
hose, they need a bit of help to finish that. The kitchen has 90 milk
crates, and they all need to be painted and screwed together. Some
caulking and stuff. Tons of little things for buzy hands to spend a few
hours doing. The house opens on Wedensday, so any time you can spare to
help out would be great. The site is right in front of City Hall, on
civic center plaza. There is tons of food and drinks and stuff, and
today I met a bunch of really cool people. Arnold Swartzenegger is
gonna do a speech next weekend from the house (staging area for protest;!). There is gonna be a
1,000 person choir singing and shit. It's totally outta control. If
anyone out there has a list that they can forward this to that would be
great. We could really use another 20 people tomorrow for a few hours.
This is a great project, please help us support it....
National Environment day is coming up quick, June 5th. The Department
of the Environment, the SF Building Inspectors office and a bunch of
art types all got together and decided to build a house of sCrap to
showcase to the 600 mayors that are coming to SF for Environment day.
This is an awesome project, and is run by totally cool people. This
project is kinda a door opening for arts in SF, and it really needs
support!!!
sCraphouse is
behind schedule and they really need a push. This is a barn-raising.
This kind of stuff is always fun. There is no pay, but this is just a
great opportunity to do cool shit with the cool people in the city
beauro-cratic bla bla. They are cool people. They are the ones that
are gonna help get permits to do cool shit in the streets, or a block
closure, or a boat thing or whatever. Having people from the city
working with actual artists is just the way it's supposed to be. I'm
IN.
Please come help build
the sCraphouse, we need your help!!!!!!!
