They will then march to the UCB campus and set up a Freedom School at Sproul Plaza. This is part of a state wide actions by students from many campuses all over California. Students across the state and tiers of education plan to demonstrate their outrage at the Governor's continued attacks on education at a planned walk-out and supporting rallies on Wednesday, April 20, a statewide day of action for education. The protest will happen simultaneously in over a dozen campuses, including Long Beach State, City College of San Francisco, University of California Santa Cruz, UC Berkeley and others. "Most of us students at City are working class and low-income. We are trying to get our education to improve the situation for our families and our future. Before the tuition increased, we were barely able to survive financially, now many of us are forced to work second jobs or put-off our education just to survive," says Bree Gutu one of the student organizers in San Francisco.
