[World News]: AMMAN, Jordan, Feb. 9 : The radical Palestinian Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine said Wednesday no cease-fire with Israel has yet been reached among Palestinians.
A PFLP statement released in Amman said the various Palestinian factions did not make any commitments to the Palestinian Authority to end hostilities and were still waiting for Israel to respond to their political demands.
The group rejected what it called U.S.-backed Israeli attempts "to turn the Palestinian cause into a security issue, ignoring the national and political rights of the Palestinian people."
"Israel's main objective is to stop the uprising and the legitimate resistance of the Palestinian people against occupation and in defense of its land and rights," the statement added.
