2/3/2005:Mayor Gavin Newsom has endorsed the proposed MUNI fare increase.
1/31/2005: A rally called by the Coalition for Transit Justice was held Monday on the steps of San Francisco City Hall to protest a proposed MUNI fare hike. The current fare of $1.25 would be raised to $1.50, placing more of the burden on the poor working class of the city. Representatives of community organizations and members of the Board of Supervisors spoke out against the fare hike.
