8:13pm Breakaway contingent has been surrounded by police on the sidewalk at Market and Front Streets. 8:08pm Contingent is heading up Market St on the sidewalk, accompanied by SFPD tactical squad. 7:55pm Contingent of 300 protesters breaks away from rally at Justin Herman Plaza. 7:50pm Further report of flag burning. 7:40pm At Justin Herman Plaza, report of police billyclubbing a protester and reports of burning flags and effigies. Riot police move away from center of crowd after briefly surrounding bonfire.
