1/16: Vigil for Global Justice (Berkeley)

Vigil for Global Justice
January 16th, 12-3pm

On January 16th, the Justice in Palestine coalition
and other organziations will be holding a peace
vigil to put a face to the unseen Palestinian victims
of the Israeli occupation and to support justice,
rather than occupation and war.

Peace and justice activists are holding this vigil in
response to the attempts by the “Israel Action
committee of the East Bay” and “Christians for
Israel” to vilify Arabs and Palestinians by bringing a
bus from Jerusalem that was bombed last January and
displaying it throughout the Bay Area. They have
titled their event, "Rally Against Global Terrorism"
and it will take place at Martin Luther King Jr. Park
in Berkeley.

The Justice in Palestine coalition mourns the loss of
all lives in this conflict, especially children. Come
stand for a silent vigil for peace and justice and
help shed light on the true images and reality of the
conflict.

Martin Luther King Jr Civic Center Park
(on MLK Way between Alston and Center in Berkeley.

**We will provide signs with images of Palestinian
children who have been killed.We ask that you refrain
from engaging with participants at the pro-Israel
Rally.**
