Being disabled, Compassion Clubs, & the future.

by rxcannabis
Future of evolving Canadian cannabis dynamic
The first time I came in contact with the British Columbia Compassion Club Society http://www.thecompassionclub.org was the fall of '97. The support I received I believe saved my life. I am still a member and have over the last seven and a half years been able to live a quality of life that would not have been possible without their support! My disability is severe and the pain at times intolerable, I live basically as a shutin trying as a single parent to do the best I can raising 3 kids on a disability pension. I live in a time warp. The rest of the world moves on and evolves.

When I came across the information from the magazine article in Toronto Now about Cannasat I freaked. The more I worried the sicker I got. Finally I decided I needed to let people know that we might be in trouble, and that Compassion Clubs and their members were at risk. I was at risk.
My postings were made in sheer panic, and may have caused upset in sick and disabled lives that don't need any more shit to handle. For this I apologize.

The world evolves, this movement has evolved, and now the next evolution, the promise of the Canadian company Cannasat, and potential of a Canadian industry are literally at hand.
Does this represent an end to compassion clubs? Not in the least, it does mean we now have new partners to turn too for support so we will have to learn to communicate with this new dynamic, and from the line up we could not have a better, more dedicated group of people WORKING on our behalf. It sucks to be sick and disabled. It now brings me HOPE to know I've got new partners working to relieve it. Peace. George Bailey
