A Pre-UN World Environment Day 2005 -"Green Cities" (June 1-5 in San Francisco) Symposium. De-mystifiying the 21st century advent of renewable energy-based economic developments. For all Bay Area African Americans and other minority individiuals, groups and organizations - rich or poor - that seek to identify green economic opportunites in the emerging renewable energy industry with Fortune 50 and smaller companies clearly committed to a diverse and qualified workforce.
Keynote speakers: Dr. Daniel M. Kammen, Director, Renewable and appropriate Energy Laboratory at UC Berkeley and Van Jones, Esq. and Executive Director of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights.
Other speakers include: Heidi Kuhn, Chairperson, Un World Environment Day 2005; Jared Blumenfled, Director, SF Department of the Environment; Jehan Mansur, Chairman & CEO of Green Technology Parters, inc and Green Technology Economic Developments; Les Hamaska, President, SUN Utility Network, Inc.; Deni Leonard, Chairman and CEO, Indigenous Global Development Corporation; and Chester Williams, Director, Western Addition Technology Center.
This event is free and open to the public.
