Here is a schedule of events for the last 3 weeks of
No on Measure Y: Healthy Communities, Not 63 More Cops
Events will likely be added, but these are definite:

1. This Saturday: 10AM- 5PM, Come to ACORN's office at
3166 Fruitvale Avenue to pick up our AWESOME new
newspaper style lit piece to distribute throughout
Oakland. We will assign people to places.

2. This Sunday: 5:15PM meet at Fruitvale BART, 6PM arrive at Santa Rita

Get Out the Jail Vote! Our Get Out the Jail Vote campaign is being threatened and harrassed. We have been going out to Santa Rita to register visitors and give them information explaining that their loved ones can vote. We will be going out in mass on Sunday to pass out information and show that we will not be intimidated away from standing up for prisoners' rights.



3. Fundraiser for No on Measure Y,

Showing of the Film: Every Mother's Son: Film about victims of police violence in New York City, and Guest Speakers, including mothers of the victims

Friday, October 22nd, 8-10

Humanist Hall, 390 27th Street (near 27th and Broadway)

Suggested Donation $5-10, no-one turned away for lack of funds.



4. Saturday, October 23rd, Stop America's Other War,
March for Social Justice and Against Measure Y,
beginning at 11AM at Lake Merritt (Macarthur and Grand)

5. Monday, October 25th, No on Measure Y: Rally
Against Police Brutality, Racial Profiling and
Harassment: 10:30AM at the Oakland Police
Headquarters, 7th St. and Washington St.

6. GET OUT THE VOTE!
Saturday and Sunday, October 30th and 31st, 10AM-5PM,
locations TBA, community outreach.

Monday, November 1st, Meet at 3:30PM at ACORN office,
3166 Fruitvale Ave to do Rush Hour Publicity,
including flyering BART stations and visibility

Tuesday, November 2nd, Meet at 6:30PM and 3:30PM at
ACORN office to do Rush Hour Publicity
