Free Fax: Shut Down the Hunters Point Power Plant

The Hunters Point community has suffered more than its share of environmental injustice, and PG&E’s Hunters Point power plant is one of the most blatant examples. The plant is an environmental disaster. It is situated in close proximity to a low-income community of color. Residents are demanding that this unreliable and highly polluting plant be shut down immediately. ISO has an upcoming board meeting on September 15, 2004, at which the board will decide whether to renew the contract for operating the Hunters Point power plan.
