Dear Allies,

The Fast for Education has moved to Sacramento. The
courage and strength of the fasters has built up the
momentum for justice, not only for the West Contra
Costa County community, but for our collective
statewide efforts to raise the issue of adequate and
equitable funding for our students.

For this reason, we are supporting the effort to
pressure Arnold to meet with them to discuss their
demands (see attachment.) Since, Monday, we have been
pushing a statewide effort to call the governor to
meet with a delegation team that will raise the issues
in WCCUSD, as well as broader funding issues.

Beginning Monday, we are urging people to fax letter
to the governor (see sample letter at the end of this
email and attachment). In addition, Californians for
Justice will most likely be part of the delegation to
meet with the governor on or before May 27. We are
planning students from our different regions to
broaden the scope of the demands.

Please make a call today and forward the action alert.
In addition, please fax a letter to the governor
using the sample letter - this is a template, please
