San Francisco | Anti-WarUFPJ/VFP Procession for Peace, SF
About 150 gathered for a "procession for peace" co-sponsored by United for Peace and Justice and Veterans for Peace in San Francisco, May 1. ![]() 1-procession.jpg Carrying photos of US troops killed and representative images of Iraqi war dead, the gathering made its way from UN Plaza, to the Federal Building, and finally to the War Memorial Building on Van Ness. Speakers took turns reading aloud the names of the both Iraq men, women, and children killed in the war along with the names of the US troops killed in the ongoing unjust and immoral occupation.
