Tuesday, March 09, 2004 Haiti's interim president took the reins of his country's shattered government Monday as supporters of Jean-Bertrand Aristide shouted demands for the ousted leader's return.  boniface_alexandre.jpg Alexandre joined the Court of Appeals in the late 1980s and became one of the 12 supreme court members in 1990. He was appointed chief justice about a decade later.
