On December 11, 2003, the thirty-sixth anniversary of the founding of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, we send our greetings to the struggling peoples of the world and convey our steadfast commitment to continue our national struggle for liberation, independence and return. Today, we remain committed to our martyrs and to the sacrifices of our people.

Throughout this current Intifada, the Palestinian people have stood resolutely in the face of overwhelming military might, brutal occupation, vicious Zionist apartheid and flagrant disregard of human rights to continue to resist occupation and oppression and demand justice. Our people have made clear that tanks, bulldozers, and missiles, relentless campaigns of assassination, imprisonment and persecution, and repeated attempts to tear apart the very fabric of Palestinian society will not and will never succeed in defeating our resistance and silencing our call for justice and liberation. We have made it clear that our Intifada and our nation will not be compromised nor subjected to violations and abrogations of our national rights and are determined to continue our struggle and our resistance at this critical time for the Palestinian people and the people of the world.

During this current Intifada, the voice of the Palestinian people has become the voice of the oppressed everywhere, resounding from Iraq, throughout the Arab World, to the Philippines, to Korea, to Colombia, to South Africa, to the centers of world imperialism in Europe and the United States, making its call for justice and liberation audible in every movement for liberation and against oppression. The brave and heroic resistance of the Palestinian people and the tremendous sacrifices suffered by our masses have emboldened and inspired international resistance throughout the world, awakening the consciousness of millions more to the possibility of resistance to the forces of oppression, colonialism and imperialism - and the possibility, and indeed, certainty, of victory, justice and liberation. The streets of the world have blossomed with the resistance of millions against the Zionist settling and occupation of Palestine as they have against the colonization of Iraq, standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people and our Iraqi brothers and sisters in their steadfast resistance to the continuing-and failing-efforts to secure domination of our lands, resources and people.

The people of Iraq have responded to the colonial assault upon their nation hand-in-hand with the Palestinian people, engaging in a heroic resistance that continues to thwart the planned colonial domination and exploitation of their land. The Anglo-American war on Iraq was a war to extend and enhance the colonial domination of the Arab World, to extend the overt colonization from the Zionist-occupied lands of Palestine to the land of Iraq. Yet, as the Zionists and their British and U.S. cohorts have learned repeatedly in Palestine, they continue to learn in Iraq, that our people will not be subject to domination, brutalization and dispossession.

We will continue to insist upon our dignity, our humanity, and our liberation. The resistance in Iraq, as the resistance in Palestine, is now an international movement. All of those who struggle for justice and against oppression are united in their support for the people of Iraq and the people of Palestine.

We are now witnessing new attempts to sabotage and undermine the Palestinian struggle for liberation. From the "Roadmap" to the so-called "Geneva Accords," fraudulent proposals following in the tradition of Oslo and Madrid have been foisted upon our people with demands that we forsake our national rights, including, centrally, the fundamental, basic, core right of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and homeland. The right to return is the right to liberate our nation, the right to self-determination, and the right to independence.

There can be and there will be no compromise of our right to return!

The struggle for Palestine is an international struggle. It is a struggle that embraces all who demand justice and all who engage in their own struggles for liberation. The current Intifada is global in scope; it is not limited to Palestine but is visible wherever there is a battle for freedom and independence against the forces of oppression and exploitation.

The PFLP reaffirms its commitment to the vision of a United Palestinian National Front which includes all Palestinian resistance forces as a step towards rebuilding the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and its institutions in Palestine and in the Diaspora, on the basis of democratic representation and transparency. The PFLP reaffirms its commitment to the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in Right of return, Self determination and the Independent state with Jerusalem as its Capital.

Together on the road to Independence, Liberation, and Return!
