Overall a good event.
The event went well. Cops were behaving themselves, not calling for dispersals, or even pretending to. By the time I left at 8 pm the arrests had not yet started, the helicopter was still flying, many cops were still blocking all the highway ramps, and many activists were still talking on the mic and interviewing people preparing for arrest. It was almost balmy out, with a full moon, and just windy enough to get the flags flying.
This guy was filming almost nonstop, and mostly from behind the group. I hope he's reading this and decides to take better care of himself - I've known people who have died at his weight, just suddenly. He'll also feel better about himself, and might not need to film everyone in sight whereever he goes. It was almost embarrassing to be around.
