9/9 California Birthday, 2d Day of Recall

by Ready to Recall
On this September 9, 2003 as we celebrate California's admission to the Union in 1850 as a free (non-slave) state, we can demand our freedom from the current bankrupt social order with the recall of the worst governor in California history.
On this September 9, 2003 as we celebrate California's admission to the Union in 1850 as a free (non-slave) state, we can demand our freedom from the current bankrupt social order with the recall of the worst governor in California history.

As we vote absentee from now to election day October 7, 2003, we can remember:

Recall's just another word for nothing left to loose,
So have some fun and pick a governor,
There’s lots of them to choose.
Let our bellwether state lead the way,
With public power for all,
No more death penalty, and
No prisons to thrall,
California here we are,
And here we shall remain,
All 34 million of us shall make California
A Golden State for all!

You can vote absentee from now to election day at your County registrar of voters. In San Francisco, that is in the basement of City Hall on the Van Ness side. You can also sign up to be a permanent absentee voter. Call your registrar or sign up on the website of the California Secretary of State: at http://www.ss.ca.gov/elections/elections_m.htm#perm.

San Francisco’s Elections Department also has the absentee voter application at:
http://www.sfgov.org/site/uploadedfiles/election/forms/ABSENTEE_APPLICATION.pdf

You can view the sample ballot to see where your candidate is, at:
http://web.sfgov.org/site/uploadedfiles/election/Docs/Ballot_Type2_Spanish.pdf
for the 13th Assembly District (east of Twin Peaks) and
