EARTHLINK STEALS REGISTERED TRADEMARK
Earthlink, advertiser on CNBC, a 24 hour TV business propaganda network, claims to have a computer program that can control the business interests of a canned meat company. CNBC does not claim to be "fair and balanced".
Earthlink used the term Spam, which is a registered trademark, along with a red circle and a slash to announce this program. The advertisment did not contain a circle around the letter T.
I attempted to contact Earhtlink via the toll free number that they advertised on TV only to uncover another telecomuncations scam that I call "advertise the wrong number for fun and profit".
Eventually I got the recorded message maze for dumb rats trying to call earthlink.
I wanted to give Earthlink a chance to say whether or not they are owned by the SPAM company, or had permission to use a registered trademark. They had their chance. If I am wrong, perhaps they will ask me to correct this article.
Maybe Earthtlink doesn't know what a registered trademark is.
It would be INSANE to think that CNBC doesn't know anything about publishing and using registered trademarks.
PRECEDING THE EARTHLINK AD was an ad for AOL 9.0. (AOL 8.0 said SPAM on the front of the package without the little circle around the letter T) I thought AOL 8.0 was brand new. AOL 9.0 apparantly has a junk email filter. This sounds a little more accurate from a technical standpoint than some kind of SPAM control.
CNBC also ran an opinion poll for the benefit of AOL Time Warner to measure whether the public wanted them to drop the AOL from their name. I don't know how much AOL Time Warner paid for it.
CNBC lacks commercial interuptions during the Luis Rukeyser show on Fridays.
CNBC has been grossly negligent by allowing these kinds of ads on their network.
