Daschle-cide Against The Lakota

by Scott Barta (treaty1851 [at] aol.com)
Senator Daschle (of the illegal "state of South Dakota") is the sponsor of many congress acts which violate the rights to nationhood of the Lakota "Sioux" Nation, and allows for the continuing theft of Lakota gold, coal, timber and oil upon 1851 Treaty Homelands
Daschle’s Misdeeds Exposed to Oglala Lakota Citizens at Annual Pow-wow

South Dakota Senator Tom Daschle and Representative Tim Johnson conducted a campaign rally August 3, 2003 on the Pine Ridge Oglala Sioux Indian Reservation Sunday afternoon during the annual Oglala Nation Pow-wow and Rodeo and were met by at least one disgruntled Dakota citizen.
While shaking hands with a few Pow-wow goers who were waiting to be served a dinner sponsored by the South Dakota congressional delegation, Daschle found himself in the crosshairs of an 1851 Treaty activist who was attending the Pow-wow festivities and happened to be in the food line. The 1851 Treaty spokesperson verbally exposed Daschle’s complicity in continually violating the 1851 Treaty of Fort Laramie and sponsoring congressional bills designed to terminate Indigenous rights to lands and resources which are currently under occupational control by u.s. government officials and their “states”. The genocidal congress acts against Indigenous sovereignty that Daschle sponsored in the past include the 1993 Indian Agricultural Resources Management Act which transferred individual leasing authority rights to corrupt tribal councils, the Mitigation act which transferred land along the Missouri River from federal control into state of South Dakota hands, and the Indian Gaming Act of 1988 which forced tribes under state governor’s authority. The bills are designed to maintain the ability of the u.s. government to continue the theft of trillions of dollars in coal, gold, oil and other resources, which legally belong to the Lakota – who have only excessive poverty and despair to show for it.
The 1851 Treaty man asked Daschle directly if he would instead help the Lakota people – who have never received even one penny for all the stolen coal, gold, timber, and oil. Daschle replied, “I have been doing things to help them”.
The 1851 Treaty representative immediately corrected Daschle and reminded him that he hadn’t helped but had hurt Lakota sovereignty and that he should “begin a new start in life” to assist those under oppression and suffering while those who steal and occupy reap benefits at other’s expense.
The 1851 Treaty citizen told Daschle that he should instead strive towards honoring the 1851 Treaty – whereby Daschle agreed with a verbal “Yes, OK.” and through a solemn handshake with the representative in front of several witnesses and the news media who had gathered as soon as the confrontation began.
The 1851 Treaty of Fort Laramie of September 17th, 1851, ratified by u.s. congress in 1853. It is the last legal (Oyate Omniciye-mandated, female inclusive) document of N/DN/D/Lakota Nation. Protected from violation through Article VI, U.S. Constitution, "Treaties made with Indian Nations shall be the supreme law of the land." 1851 TREATY OF FORT LARAMIE SIGNATORY INDIGENOUS RED NATIONS N/DN/D/LAKOTA, CROW, HIDATSA, MANDAN, ARIKARA, CHEYENNE, ARAPAHO
These allied nations lived near and utilized for spiritual purposes the territories of the Black Hills (Big Horn Mountains), He Sapa (Black Jagged-Rocky-Mountains, misnomer "Black Hills"), and the Sacred Red Stone Canunpa ("Pipestone Quarries"). With the threat of non-Indigenous encroachment, the N/DN/D/Lakota (misnomer "Sioux"), Crow, Cheyenne, Arapaho, Hidatsa, Mandan, and Arikara Nations were prompted to protect, secure and insure their territorial homelands for future generations. Unlimited and undisturbed use and access to this area was agreed upon "on paper" by the seven nations, with the government of the United States, through the signing of the 1851 TREATY OF FORT LARAMIE on September 17, 1851 near Horse Creek in present day "Nebraska". The guarantees of the 1851 Treaty (Ratified u.s. senate 11 Stats., p. 749) are indisputable and do not allow for "negotiation", as they are mandated by unanimous approval through OYATE OMNICIYE "Circle Meetings of The People" - the ancient, female-inclusive and truly democratic manner of governing utilized for millions of years by the seven plains nations.
Exposing Daschle at the Oglala Nation Pow-wow is a first step in demanding that all honor the 1851 Treaty. Such information provided to today’s Indigenous youth also can decrease gang activity and give Lakota children a positive direction in life and a sense of reality.
The Lakota are a nation of people and cannot recognize an illegal state called “South Dakota” – nor its trivial government officials who strive to occupy every square inch of Lakota 1851 Homelands.
