Sen. Feinstein's Expected Retirement in 2007
An open position on the electoral front is always good news. This time it is the expected retirement of Senator Dianne Feinstein in 2007, when she will be 74 years old.
An open position on the electoral front is always good news. This time it is the expected retirement of Senator Dianne Feinstein in 2007, when she will be 74 years old.
This good news comes from the Stockton Record, June 8, 2003, in their story on the recall of Gray Davis, at:

This reactionary old biddy and good Democrat recently commented against the recall but did not rule out her own re-run for the governor's office when the recall makes the ballot.
The current Democratic Party strategy is to have no Democrat run on the theory that Democrats will vote no on the recall if there is no replacement Democrat.
As of this moment (with no signatures for this weekend counted yet), 535,374 signatures have been collected out of 898,157 needed, and they have until September 2 at the latest to meet their goal.
This writer has proudly signed the recall petition right here in San Francisco, and will certainly vote for the recall. If there is no socialist candidate running, then I will not vote for any replacement. As far as I am concerned, to vote for the recall is to vote against the prison-industrial complex proudly promoted by that good Democrat Gov. Gray Davis.
Meanwhile, I urge everyone who is not a Democrat-Republican to think of a good candidate for US Senate to replace Dianne Feinstein.
