Bush continues to babble about WMDs

by OzzyO
The military "finds" a pot of leftovers in a mobile home ("found" by Pentagon allies the Kurds) and Bush, trapped in his fantasy world, tries to convince everyone they are WMDs.
Bush Remarks Confirm Shift in Justification for War
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A63017-2003May31.html

Most absurd excerpt from article:

"We found the weapons of mass destruction," Bush asserted in the Thursday interview, released Friday. "We found biological laboratories. You remember when Colin Powell stood up in front of the world, and he said, Iraq has got laboratories, mobile labs to build biological weapons. They're illegal. They're against the United Nations resolutions, and we've so far discovered two. And we'll find more weapons as time goes on. But for those who say we haven't found the banned manufacturing devices or banned weapons, they're wrong. We found them."

==============================

- "We found the weapons of mass destruction," NO, a trailer was found with equipment in it that might or might not be used to make biological agents. NO one except Bush claims actual WMD's have been found.

- "We found biological laboratories." Experts NOT UNDER the Bush regime's control have said the trailers have uses for a number of purposes not related to WMD's.

- "And we'll find more weapons as time goes on" I repeat NO one except Bush claims actual WMD's have been found.

- "But for those who say we haven't found the banned manufacturing devices or banned weapons, they're wrong. We found them." Hello, snap out of it, NO banned weapons have actually been found and I don't recall Bush ever saying we were fighting the war for "banned manufacturing devices".

=============

The article continues;

'Bush's assertion, one of many recent administration statements shifting focus from Iraq's weapons to Iraq's weapons programs, indicated the president would consider its accusations justified by the discovery of equipment that potentially could be used to produce weapons. But the original charges against Iraq, presented to the United Nations and the American public, were explicitly about the weapons themselves...'

'equipment that potentially could be used to produce weapons' Gee don't you use a fermenter to make home brewed beer? Look out all you home brewer's out there, a smart bomb will be heading in your direction soon courtesy of the regime!
===============

Billions of dollars, thousands of civilians killed (including children) for some 'they might be' germs in a 'might be' mobile biological lab provided by a group who wanted to use the US to get rid of Saddam. You know if all this weren’t so tragic, with all the people being hurt and killed the pure absurdity of it would be funny.
