marijuana legalization and drug addiction and abuse among the homeless

is the homeless problem in this city a symptom of a greater problem, drug addiction and abuse. with the advocates of marijuana legalization on the march. the view that drug use is becoming acceptable seems to be increasing, but will this bring an increase in the number of persons becoming addicted to other drugs? health department studies say yes.

If alcohol is more dangerous than marijuana then what is the issue. Look at the statistics between the harmful affects from the two and ask yourself what is right. Alcohol is far worse for a person yet we make less harmful drugs illegal. Does this make sence? That is for you to decide. Of course i believe if you think it is right, then its ok. If you enjoy using marijuana then do it. Is our concern with marijuana and the money our county uses to fight more imortant than feeding the starving, housing the homeless, or taking care of the sick? Sounds to me that our country needs to re-think our stand on what is important and what is just reality of a persons choice to do or not to do. When did our country ever become free?

The reason why alcohol isnt baned is because its too damn difficult to stop it, it being illegal supports organized crime and takes up police time not because it is "acceptably" harmless.
Everyone knows alcohol kills ridiculously large amounts of people.
But "alcohol kills people so why cant I?" is not really a great argument.
