YOU make me sick
Some of the Middle east discussions on SF indy show that even progessve are just small little colinzers waiting to get out of the "progressive" closet.
You guys (Nessie + anti-scum and all other progressives) really think like old style western colonizers: You have your notions of truth and justice and you want to shove it to down the native’s throat.
Sorry to pee on your parade but I have a suggestion:
Go try your ideas somewhere else.
The Middle East is complex enough without adding ideas that even for less complex places will take years to mature.
Over here no one give a .... About the issue: "Does land belong to people or people to the land?" - (what a petit bourgeois question anyhow) over here the issue is survival:
Jews and Arabs have proved that they have very hard time living together. To let people survive and for spirits to cool off we need some separation:
In one state will have the Palestinians and their supporters (ISM, Human Shields, everyone that the Palestinians will want)
On another state will have the Israelis - secure in their borders without Palestinian bombers to spread carnage.
We – all the 10,000,000 (Palestinian and Israelis) who live in this tiny land (which is no bigger than lake Michigan) want some peace so we can grow our children and worry about what in other countries people take for granted.
Your notions of justice sicken me because you have no idea and no business intervening in how we solve our problems. You want to help: Stop consuming so much oil. When you change the US economy to be 10% alternative fuels than come back again and preach your noble ideas to us. Change should start locally.
Idea colonizers: leave us alone – fix your own problem first !
