Why stay? Why not stop traffic for ten minutes, then run and avoid getting arrested?

Brave and creative! Those who organized this have my admiration and respect.

I agree that it is better to block traffic and then flee, only to do it again in a completely different spot on another day. Keep making headlines! The voice of the people only grows as we stand up and are heard. (read: are given a voice by a ratings-centric media) But don't get caught in a war with the cops; they are pawns.

Good Job. It's a great attention grabber. If we could boycott taxes or some other more directly related action next time, it might be more effective, though more hazardous of course.

I realize "taking over" makes one feel more powerful in the face of the overwhelming tragedy of war. Yet, I am concerned this type of action may be encouraged by infiltrators inside our organizations merely to alienate others. Are you aware the CIA sent young cops into Vietnam-era organizations to inspire actions which would discredit the anti-war movement?
The "intelligence community" enjoys manipulating us. If they can make us appear purposelessly disruptive, America turns against us. Our voice becomes ignored. Closing down Bechtel and other war profiteers makes sense. Closing down freeways keeps mothers from picking up their children, keeps doctors away from surgery, keeps people from working. How does this help our cause?
Would there be more effective ways of getting commuters out of their haze and into awareness and living life?
Please think this through, quite carefully. What can we do, to have the greatest effect in creating the kind of world we want to live in? I admire action in pursuit of great goals.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
