§cops blocking market

the cops blocked market street very efficiently. everyone was on the sidewalk at this point, but the cops remained in position for about an hour (if memory serves). you don't see these pictures on major news sources, only pictures of protesters with arms linked stopping traffic. in my experience 95% of traffic blocking is actually done by the police. no wonder so many commuters hate the protesters but not the cops.
§cops running

i believe all of these cops are converging on one person. i didn't witness any protesters attacking police so that's not what's going on here. i believe they were mostly surrounding an arrest in progress so that nobody could see or record what was happening. this happened every time the police started striking protesters.
§cops taking sound system
by erazor
soundsystem.jpgq76984.jpg
this rig was blasting some really really excellent music, i didn't recognize it but it sounded like brazilian hardcore or something. (i'm sure i'm showing my lack of culture here.) everybody was dancing to it, everybody was staying on the sidewalks, it was great. the cops broke onto the sidewalk (very aggressively i heard from a few people, i couldn't really tell) and took it. this rig must have cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars, i really hope the guy who brought it can get it back, although i doubt it. another example of the police trying to demoralize the protesters.
§a lot of cops

this was just off market. what a massive police presence. this of course was not even half as many as were present in the general area, just the most i could fit in any one picture.
§our hero
by erazor
superhero.jpgy76984.jpg
this guy rules. you know you're on the right team when you have a superhero like this on your side. where's the government's superhero? where's the cops' superhero? obviously the peace movement are the only ones with a superhero. and we have a great one.
