March 17, 2003 Freshwater, CA ![]() remedyeviction.jpg In Freshwater, a climber removes Remedy from her treesit after having been in the tree for a year. This morning the CHP closed down Greenwood Heights Road for a 1 ½ mile section where the treesitters are. All observers were evicted from the area with the exception of corporate media. Independent media was not allowed in. Corporate media was taken in with a Maxxam/Pacific Lumber van. This section of road will be closed daily from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. until all the treesitters have been removed. To show support for the treesitters, people will meet daily at the intersection of Freshwater Road and Old Arcata Road near the police blockade.
