CFL ACTION ALERT: AS THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION CONTEMPLATES MORE WELFARE TO ISRAEL, ARIEL SHARON'S GOVERNMENT CONTINUES TO VIOLATE THE HUMAN RIGHTS OF THE PALESTINIANS.
President Bush is considering a grant to Israel for an additional $14 billion from our tax dollars. The only request that the Bush Administration has is
that Israel not spend this aid on illegal settlements on Palestinian land. Americans of conscience demand that no money be spent on illegal Israeli
settlements OR on funding the violent Israeli apartheid regime. The Israeli government has shown a trend towards torture, humiliation and killing of Palestinians civilians, most of whom were children. Take a moment to let the President know that you do not want your tax dollars spent on a regime that perpetrates such horrific violence against Palestinian children.

TALKING POINTS
IN THE PAST WEEK ALONE:
* Israeli Occupation soldiers viciously beat Palestinian civilians whose only crime was sitting in a barbershop. Israeli soldiers shaved these
Palestinians heads and then brutally beat them.
* Israeli Occupation Forces savagely beat 14 year-old American citizen, Ahmed Abdel Haq. He was beaten and forced to act as though he was a child suicide bomber. Abdel Haq informed the soldiers he was an American citizen from California, yet they still continued to beat him and made him kneel on the ground pretending as though he were praying. This vicious act was all caught on film, yet the US government refuses to condemn this most barbaric treatment of an American child at the hands of Israeli soldiers.
*Israeli Occupation Forces also beat 18 year-old Palestinian high-school student Amran Abu Hamediye to death as he left a Hebron mosque from his nightly prayers. He was detained by Israeli border police and his badly beaten body was found 20 minutes later.
The past two years have witnessed the death of thousands of Palestinian civilians. The number of Palestinians who have been brutally tortured by
Israel has also been steadily increasing. Still the Bush Administration acts as though the only crime Israel commits is the illegal occupation of Palestinian land. This morally bankrupt foreign policy is biased and unabashedly racist. We must let Bush and the rest of his Administration know
that we do not want our tax dollars supporting illegal settlements OR a violent apartheid regime.
