This bill is very disturbing. No one has any proof that this substance is harmful to anyone. It's short-acting, nonaddictive, and has shown no signs of causing brain damage. Salvia Divinorum does not need to be a felony. The government lacks the burden of proof.

anybody been out west, in the rockies and sierras and the deserts to see how much sage is growing naturally everywhere? as well, the unmistakable scent it gives the air? what, are they gonna go in a spray round-up on 10's of millions of acres to eliminate a naturally occuring plant, now classified as schedule 1 "intoxicant"? gimme a fucking break.
don't idiot politicians have something better to do than ban a naturally occuring plant? than waste resources fighting something like sage and not something like heroin or meth? this kind of mindset of control is a complete disgrace. not only that, it DOESN'T HELP THE DRUG PROBLEM.
