Again I'd say things look rather calm with a couple of women seemingly casually asking questions or making statements to the CHP.

Why are riot police preventing people from expressing their opinions? Why are riot police preventing harmless people from expressing their constitutional right of free speech? If that is ok with you, then i spose a nazi-style police state works for you. God, have we learned nothing? z

How are the CHP preventing the protesters from expressing their ideas? If you've read Aaron D's account of the event, the protesters marched and chanted and sang and held signs -- that's censorship, right?
by zooloo
Are we to take it that you are a cop and/or a police state sympathizer then? If you read the full range of reports from the event you would clearly see that there was prevention of freedom of speech (ie. confiscation of banners, billy-club shoves, arrests) by the riot-gear clad police at the scene. z

Police in riot gear (face masks, billy-clubs, pepper spray) is intimidating and antagonistic. That is the beginning of how they prevented freedom of speech. Do you have a brain? Or more importantly, a heart?? z

So you are saying police do not have the right to bring tear gas and billy clubs at political demonstrations, right? Well, that's news to me -- is this a recent law?

Also, from looking at the photos, can you tell me which people look scared and/or intimidated? Which people are gagged and/or censored?

Please, explain what you see in these photos that I do not see. Furthermore, let's assume we're in a court of law and beholden to the accuracy of our statements. What facts from these photos can you state support your notions?

I rest my case..... and offer this to our jury of readers to decide for themselves which position (yours, or mine) is more sane. z
