My Email to Bush, 2002-04-01

Mr. Bush,

I will not speak of U.N. resolution numbers or
ideology. Just simple words and ideas, as I
believe you are a man who likes basic, fundamental
solutions.

The Palestine War must end and it must end before
the day comes when thousands die there in just 24
hours. That day is approaching, I believe, but
then it will be too late for you to act.

There is only one simple approach that will work:
The Israeli's must segregate from the Palestinians
completely, withdrawing back to their original
borders and abandoning all of their settlements
outside of those borders; at the same time, the
Palestinians must leave Israel proper and international
peacekeepers must be sent to keep the two peoples
apart. They will need to be separated for at least
three generations, so that no one alive then can
remember this time.

Sir, I believe your advisors such as Rumsfeld and
Cheney are misleading you. As a self-professed
Christian your faith is being betrayed by the men
in your adminstration who are leading you deeper
and deeper into war. God is not mocked. I believe
that if you examine the reasons why the U.S. is
not acting for world peace but is instead sending
troops all around the world, building new nuclear
weapons and preparing to start a new war, you may
see that they are playing you for a fool.

Those are frank words, but the times deserve them.

Stand up for what you believe in, sir, and tell
the warmongers in Washington, D.C. to stand down
and then go home. Support our troops: bring them
all home.
