"The Hidden Wars of Desert Storm" video showing

by Scott Johnson
Gerard Ungerman's documentary "The Hidden Wars of Desert Storm" showing in SF and Oakland.
Already patting themselves on the back for "victory" in Afghanistan, now the Bush administration is talking about expanding the war on Iraq. Since the US military has been bombing Iraq on a weekly basis for years—including during the Clinton administration—and since the sanctions on Iraq have killed almost two million people in the past decade, "expanding" the war can only mean massive destruction that will dwarf what Bush has done to Afghanistan. Gerard Ungerman’s film "The Hidden Wars of Desert Storm" documents the brutality and lies behind the Gulf War, showing that the US government was more interested in oil and power in the Middle East than protecting Kuwait, a country without democracy or women’s rights. We need to start organizing now to oppose the coming war on Iraq and the expansion of the war on terrorism. Come to the following meetings to view the video "The Hidden Wars of Desert Storm," learn more about these issues and help fight for a world without war.
