Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, joined by supporters
attempted to deliver 5,000 hourglass timers and petitions to the headquarters of
the FDA on April 17.
After three years, we're still waiting on the FDA. But thanks to you, our
momentum is building.
It's been exactly three years since the FDA received an application to make
the morning-after pill - a safe and effective way to prevent unintended
pregnancy - available for over-the-counter sales.
The FDA's politically motivated delays only fuel our determination. We have a
unique opportunity to fight back now that there is a new nominee for FDA
commissioner.
President Bush recently nominated Andrew von Eschenbach to be commissioner of
the FDA. Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) and Patty Murray (D-WA) have
declared that they will block von Eschenbach's nomination until the agency
makes a decision on Plan B®.
Today, you can help support them in their effort. Click here to write your
senators and encourage them to stand with Senators Clinton and Murray.

In just a few minutes, your action can make a difference. Thanks to the
support of people like you, we've built momentum. We've gained political support.
Your action now just might be the tipping point.
Sincerely,

P.S. Actions like yours make a difference! In March, Wal-Mart, the nation's
largest retail pharmacy, announced that its pharmacies throughout the United
States would stock the morning-after pill. Activists like you made it happen.
