support for their viciously anti-immigrant program


RALLY TO OPPOSE THE RACIST, ANTI-IMMIGRANT “MINUTEMEN”

The racist, vigilante “Minutemen Project” will be rallying on the steps of the State
Capitol building in Sacramento on Saturday, Oct. 29, 10 a.m. in an attempt to gain
support for their viciously anti-immigrant program. A coalition of progressive
Northern California organizations, including the ANSWER Coalition, is calling for an
anti-racist counter-rally. To volunteer, e-mail answer [at] actionsf.org or call

TOMMI AVICOLLI MECCA HONORED FOR ACTIVISM

Tommi Avicolli Mecca, a tenants' rights activist and AC4A supporter, is one of the
many people being honored tonight by the American Friends Service Committee for
their work over the years in resisting the draft. The dinner will highlight the
opening of the new Peace and Justice Center in San Francisco, a joint project
between AFSC and the San Francisco Friends Meeting. In addition, we will preview
AFSC's new campaign: "Not One More Death, Not One More Dollar."
