On the evening of the 2,000th reported US military fatality in Iraq, join Not in Our
Name, Veterans for Peace, United for Peace and Justice, American Friends Service
Committee, Gold Star Families for Peace, Military Families Speak Out, CodePink, and
many local peace and justice groups and concerned individuals in expressing grief
and outrage. We will light candles to remember and mourn the loss of US troops
killed in this unjust occupation, but we can not forget the tens of thousands of
Iraqis who have died as a result of our government's illegal and immoral war without
end.
