YOU can help hold Chevron accountable for poisoning the rainforests and peoples of the Amazon. Indigenous communities in Ecuador are calling for your urgent support in the critical campaign to hold Chevron accountable for its “rainforest Chernobyl”— an ecological and human catastrophe created by the company's spilling of more than 19 billion gallons of toxic wastewater and 16.8 million gallons of crude oil into pristine rainforest areas. After 20 years of operation, Chevron (formerly Texaco) spilt 30 times more oil than the Exxon Valdez disaster. More than 30,000 people are affected and are calling on the company to fund a cleanup.
