CALIFORNIA SUPREME COURT RULING IN LESBIAN PARENTING CASES

WHAT: Press conference regarding the California Supreme Court's decisions in three cases involving the rights of children born to lesbian parents -- Elisa B. v. Superior Court, K.M. v. E.G., Kristine H. v. Lisa R. The decisions in all three cases will be released on Monday, August 22, 2005.

All three cases pose the question of whether both partners in a same-sex couple who use reproductive technology to have children together are the child's legal parents with the rights and responsibilities attendant to that status.
