"The time for the mainstream media to investigate is now -- before the electoral college votes in December." said Donaldl Goldmacher, one of the speakers at the election 2004 protest held in front of the main office and studio of San Francisco based KGO TV.

The demonstration, organized by the Wellstone Democratic Club of Silicon Valley, and by The Dean Democratic Club of Silicon Valley, was to protest the Media's near complete silence concerning voting irregularities in the 2004 presidential election.

Addressing claims that they were conspiracy theorists, several speakers pointed out that the voting irregularities in the election needed to be investigated regardless of whether an investigation would swing the election to John Kerry. According to the speakers, part of the bedrock of a Democracy is verifiable election results that can be trusted.

After the rally in front of KGO the protesters marched to the offices of California Senator Barbara Boxer. The protesters were unable to meet with Boxer as she was out of town, however, her staffers said that they supported the rally.
