<b>What is a Disorientation Guide?</b>
Disorientation Guides act as alternatives to the glossy official PR orientation guides we get from the university. A disorientation guide uncovers practices the university would prefer you not know: revealing politically-connected stock portfolios of UC regents, how few students of color are enrolled this year, how many pounds of food are wasted at residence halls, or how private funding toward research can stifle academic freedom.

A disoientation guide also acts as a resource directory for student groups and off-campus organizations. Disorientation guides have been produced at UC Berkeley for decades. They are also excellent examples of independent media!
