About the 6/6 Really, Really Free Market

by Reclaim the Commons

The market will be a demonstration of the "gift economy" in the midst of the Conspicuous Consumption Center of SF, and a practical demonstration of Reclaiming the Commons by calling forth the talents that we all have to share with one another. (so bring yours to share)
We are writing to encourage everyone to join the Reclaim the Commons mobilization at the Really, Really Free Market on Sunday, June 6, in Union Square between 2-4 pm.
The market is part of the mobilization to protest the biotech convention arriving in SF for June 6-9 and the G8 meetings being held in Georgia, and to hold the vision
that "another world is possible".

The market will be a demonstration of the "gift economy" in the midst of the Conspicuous Consumption Center of SF, and a practical demonstration of Reclaiming the Commons by calling forth the talents that we all have to share with one another.

The etiquette is no money, barter, trades; and bring some kind of plastic, carpet or other cushioning device for tables, chairs, etc. that will be on the "hardscape" of
Union Square. If you need to use tape on the floor surface, please use "gaffer's tape" - similar to duct tape, leaves no glue.

Really really encouraging massage tables, performers, musicians, poetry, psychic readings, tarot readings, all that is positive.

There will be a "performance corner" for performers and musicians at the market, with amplification available if desired.

Please feel free to bring something to give away.

This is not a rally and there will be no announcements! This is a day off from all that and hoping to bring to birth something new.

We're going to fill the stage with native plants to give away.

Please consider coming with an offering so this event can be as wide-ranging as possible.
