Hunger strikers for education have entered into their
third day of fasting at Oakland's Frank Ogawa Plaza.
Today will likely be one of the hardest days for the
fasters as their bodies settle in to a lack of food.
I spent several hours with fasters last night and
despite continued encroachment by the city their
spirits were high.

They asked me to convey a few things to supporters:

1. Every night at 8PM they will be holding a vigil.
Please come and show your support! (Frank Ogawa Plaza
is at 14th and Broadway at the Oakland City Hall and
the 12th Street BART Station). Come by any time to
offer your support!!

2. As the City is not letting them camp, they need
help every night at 10PM in bringing their things to
their campsite at 6AM every morning they need help
bringing things back to Frank Ogawa Plaza.

3. Needs List:
DOCTOR AND OTHER MEDICAL SUPPORT!!! An on-call doctor
would help, but ideally someone who can devote at
least some time to being there.
Sunblock
WATER!!! No Kirkland
Hats- both warm and sun protection
CANOPIES FOR CHAIRS THAT ARE BOUGHT AT BED, BATH AND
BEYOND!!!!
Umbrellas
Books to Read
Banners and Visuals

First Aid Kit

4. Rally Organized by Together Organizing for Justice
and Indigenous Liberation TOJIL Youth at noon on
