All charges dropped for March 20

by Chronicle
This is fairly fascinating, how DA Harris ended up dropping every single case even though she would have strong motivation to seek convictions. Think about it- half the police in town were present, yet they were unable to collect evidence with these arrests. Someone at indymedia should try to interview her.

San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris said Friday she would not prosecute 124 people arrested during the protests. Many of the arrests were for blocking the street, but two involved felonies, including assault on a police officer. In a statement, Harris said the standard of proof beyond a reasonable doubt could not be met on any of the cases -- even though much of the activity had been videotaped. Harris said that suspects involved in the felony incidents could not be positively identified.
