This is a brief report from the Fresno meeting. Attending this meeting was Dallas Blanchard, Sanjiv Kapoor, Nick DeGraff, John Veen, and Mike Rhodes. Everyone at the meeting was familiar with Indymedia and open publishing so the agenda was adjusted so we could discuss the issue of a Central Valley Indymedia site in more depth. Basically we agreed that the current arrangement with Indybay Indymedia, where we have a page for the Central Valley, works very well for us. We agreed that there would be advantages to having a Central Valley site but that it would be a lot more work to maintain. We have an open (collective) mind about developing a Central Valley site but realize that we do not have the resources (in Fresno) to set up and maintain the site. We are looking forward to discussing this at the upcoming meeting in Sacramento.

There will be 7 of us driving to Sacramento to attend the Indymedia meeting this Saturday, January 24. For more information about that meeting see: http://www.indybay.org/news/2004/01/1667879.php
